Colin Gainer has been recognized as the Chicago Healthcare Risk Management Society’s (CHRMS) Rookie of the Year for 2011-2012. Colin has been a member of CHRMS since 2009. He was selected for this honor based on his extensive contributions to the CHRMS program committee in 2011.

Two veteran attorneys have joined the law firm of SmithAmundsen in St. Louis, Mo. The attorneys are Francis “Butch” Miller of the former Gallop, Johnson & Neuman firm and W. Jeffrey Muskopf, formerly of Lashly & Baer. These attorneys were chosen strategically based on the complimentary skill sets they bring to SmithAmundsen’s thriving St. Louis office.

Brigadier General William H. Weir has joined SmithAmundsen’s Insurance Practice Group as a partner. Mr. Weir has more than 35 years of experience as an attorney, as a business law instructor and as a judge in the 16th Judicial Circuit. Additionally, he is a decorated veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and the US Army for nearly 35 years.

Vermont Law School's Sports Law Institute recently announced its Board of Advisors, comprised of some of America's top sports industry leaders, including SmithAmundsen’s Timothy Liam Epstein, as well as the start of a Blue Chips program designed to give students the core skills, hands-on experience and research opportunities needed to succeed in the sports world.
