Kathleen O’Donnell Wyatt has joined Verrill Dana’s Litigation & Trial Group in the firm’s Boston office. Kathleen’s practice focuses on products liability, premises liability and toxic tort litigation.

The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) has selected Verrill Dana’s new website as the Second Place winner in the “Total Website Refresh/Overhaul/Rebrand” category of the 2012 Your Honor Awards on March 15th at the LMA’s Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas. There were more than 230 law firm websites entered in this category.

Verrill Dana is pleased to welcome Jennifer A. Creedon to its Litigation & Trial Group. Jennifer joins the firm’s Boston office as a partner, having previously practiced at another Boston firm. Her practice focuses on toxic tort defense, asbestos defense, product liability and insurance coverage matters.

On Thursday, February 16, John Giffune was elected President of the Cumberland Bar Association. John has been a member of the Cumberland bar Association since 2009 and has previously served on its General Committee and as its Second Vice President.

Verrill Dana’s Connecticut office has moved from West Hartford to Stamford. Verrill Dana’s Connecticut office allows it to serve clients across southern New England and will provide a link between business centers in New England and the New York metropolitan area.

Verrill Dana attorney Nora Healy was presented with the Maine Bar Foundation Fellows New Lawyer Award at the Foundation's annual meeting. The award, named for former Bar Foundation president Arnie McDonald, is given to attorneys who have been licensed for less than ten years and have made outstanding contributions to the legal community through pro bono service or other contributions.

Verrill Dana is honored to have received the award for Most Hours on Completed Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) Cases by a Law Firm at the Maine State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting. The award was presented at the MSBA Annual Meeting’s Pro Bono luncheon on Thursday, January 26.

Verrill Dana is pleased to welcome Tara Shuman to the firm’s Health Care group. Tara will join the firm’s growing health care practice in its Boston office after having practiced at Ropes & Gray, LLP. Tara has experience in a wide range of health care matters and her addition to the Boston office will strengthen an already robust health care practice.
