Scott B. Allinson Served as Tournament Chair of 22nd Annual DeSales University Golf Tournament
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (July 20, 2010) - Scott B. Allinson, Member of Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino, the Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., served as the Tournament Chairman of the 22nd Annual DeSales University Golf Tournament, on June 14, 2010 at Brookside Country Club in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
“Given the history of prominent Lehigh Valley business leaders serving as event Chairman, I was honored to serve in this position on behalf of DeSales University. It was a pleasure to work with the tournament committee of local business professionals whose efforts led to the success of the tournament. The generosity of the sponsors, participants, and volunteers will allow deserving DeSales students to receive direct financial aid and scholarships and achieve an excellent private university education.”
Allinson specializes in economic development law, business law with special emphasis on construction law, creditors’ rights law, corporate and partnership governance, and general and complex commercial litigation.
Allinson’s construction practice focuses on litigation, mechanic’s lien claims, construction defects, payment bond claims, general and subcontractor representation, and specialized litigation, arbitration and mediation concerning public construction projects.
Allinson is active in politics and serves on a variety of boards and committees for various charitable, economic and community organizations. He serves as solicitor to Lehigh’s Economic Advancement Project, Northampton County New Jobs Corporation, the Northeastern Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation, and the Lehigh County Industrial Development Authority. Allinson serves on the Board of Directors of the Lehigh County General Purpose Authority and is a member of the President’s Council of DeSales University.
Allinson earned his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Lehigh University. He is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
