Winstead's San Antonio Office Announces New Telecommunications/Real Estate Practice

SAN ANTONIO (July 29, 2010) - Winstead has hired Donna B. Barton, an attorney who will lead Winstead efforts to provide a niche practice in the San Antonio office focused on telecommunications, real estate and the integration of technology with the operations of real estate assets. This unique combination of legal services benefits both telecommunications clients, who continue to face rapid growth and competition, and real estate clients, who are facing an increased demand for real estate fully 'wired' for an increasing array of systems operations. Barton will work in Winstead's Real Estate Development & Investments practice group.

Barton brings unique legal experience representing telecommunications companies on matters involving regulation as well as advising her clients in real estate matters related to the maintenance and operations of telecommunications networks. She will be joined by Paralegal Kristy Ritchie, and both will work with Winstead's veteran San Antonio Real Estate Attorneys Farr Nolen and Elizabeth Breazeale.

This all female team of legal professionals will provide a unique combination of legal services to a diverse group of clients, including Verizon Wireless and other owners, service providers and tenants of real estate assets. The attorneys in the San Antonio Office will work in concert with another team of Winstead attorneys located in the Dallas office, to expand this unique service to clients throughout Texas.
