Leydig, Voit & Mayer Welcomes Two Technical Advisors

- Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd., a full-service intellectual property law firm, welcomes Travis B. Gasa and Colin Wright as technical advisors.

Travis Gasa joins the firm's Chicago office. He received a B.S. in Chemistry, high distinction, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, and an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2008. He recently received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern University. His research focused on the synthesis and study of complex functional organic compounds for use in applications including artificial light-harvesting systems, molecular electronics, and metal-organic frameworks. At Leydig, he will concentrate on patent prosecution with an emphasis in pharmaceutical and chemical technologies.

Colin Wright joins the firm's Washington, D.C. office. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Union College in Schenectady, New York, in 2003. While working as a patent agent in New York and in Frankfurt, Germany, he received an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in thermal fluid sciences, from the Union Graduate College in Schenectady, in 2009. His work will focus primarily on global patent prosecution in the area of mechanical technologies and systems.
