Stoel Rives LLP Welcomes Four Associates to its Seattle Office
SEATTLE (November 11, 2010) - Seattle, WA — Stoel Rives LLP, a full-service U.S. business law firm, is pleased to announce that Devin P. McComb, Corinna T. McMackin, Christina P. Asavareungchai and Alex Oh have joined the firm’s Seattle office as associates.
McComb is an associate in the Real Estate and Construction group and focuses his practice on real estate law. McComb has represented buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, from the negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements and other transaction documents through closing. He is experienced in drafting and negotiating leases, subleases and ground leases for commercial, industrial, office and retail landlords and tenants, as well as subordination agreements and landlord waivers and consents.
Before joining Stoel Rives, McComb was an associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago (2006-2010). He is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D., 2006, with honors) and Willamette University (B.A., 2003) and is admitted to the state bars of Washington (pending), Oregon and Illinois.
McMackin is an associate in the Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources group. Before joining Stoel Rives, McMackin was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert C. Chambers at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia (2009-2010), a summer associate with Cascadia Law Group (2008) and a judicial extern for Associate Justices Richard J. Chin, John P. Connor, Jr. and Frank M. Gaziano in the Massachusetts Superior Court Department, Plymouth County Superior Court (summer 2007). As a law student, she participated in the University of Washington’s Environmental Law Clinic (2007-2008), representing clients in Washington State and federal environmental matters.
McMackin is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law (J.D., 2008, with honors), the University of Pennsylvania (M.E.S., Environmental Studies, 2003) and the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., Biology and Environmental Studies, 1999) and is admitted to the state bars of Washington (pending) and Massachusetts.
Asavareungchai practices in the firm’s Corporate group. Before joining Stoel Rives as an attorney, she was a summer associate with the firm in both 2008 and 2009. She also worked as an immigration paralegal at Microsoft (2006-2007) and wrote monthly opinion columns for the Seattle Times (2003-2005). As a law student, Asavareungchai served as senior editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation (2007-2010) and oversaw diversity-related programming as co-chair of the Pacific Islander, Asian and Native American Law Students’ Association (2008-2009). She is a graduate of Yale Law School (J.D., 2010) and the University of Washington (B.A., 2006, summa cum laude) and is admitted to the state bar of Washington.
Oh is an associate in the Technology and Intellectual Property group. His practice focuses on U.S. and foreign patent strategy, preparation and procurement for life sciences technologies in a wide variety of areas, including biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. OH also has experience with freedom to operate assessments, due diligence reviews, and patent infringement and validity analyses.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Oh was a judicial intern for the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks of the Wisconsin Supreme Court (2010), a student attorney at the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Law School (2009) and a summer associate at Stoel Rives (2008, 2009). He was also a graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (2008-2010). Oh is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., 2010), the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (M.S., Biotechnology, 2010) and the University of Washington (B.S., Neurobiology, B.A., Communication, 2010) and is admitted to the state bars of Washington (pending) and Wisconsin and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (pending).
