Carr Maloney Attorney Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

Membership in the prestigious group is by invitation only and represents just one percent of the total lawyer population in any state

- Paul Maloney, a litigation attorney with the mid-Atlantic law firm Carr Maloney, has been admitted as a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. His practice areas include products liability, professional liability and commercial litigation.

Fellowship is extended only by invitation to experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. There are more than 5,700 Fellows across the U.S. and Canada, however membership can never be more than one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.

“This is the highest honor that a trial attorney can receive,” said Bill Carter, Carr Maloney’s managing attorney. “We are extremely proud that Paul was invited to join such an esteemed group.”

Founded in 1950, the College extends invitations to lawyers with a minimum of 15 years of trial experience.  The College carefully reviews and investigates every trial a candidate has worked on throughout his or her career.

“I am humbled to be included in the company of such great trial lawyers, which includes every member of the Supreme Court of the United States,” said Maloney.

Maloney received his bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University and his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.  Among his many affiliations, Maloney is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), the Bar Association of the District of Columbia and the Maryland State Bar Association. He is past president of the Barristers and of the D.C. Defense Lawyers’ Association. He has also been selected as a 2010 Super Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury Defense: Products and Professional Liability: Defense.
