McNees Wallace & Nurick Wraps Up 75th Anniversary Year and Launches New Campaign
HARRISBURG, Pa. (February 3, 2011) - After an extensive internal and external celebration including a philanthropic campaign, a party for nearly 400 people, an anniversary book and a branded monthly gift for each employee, McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC has wrapped up its 75th anniversary year with excitement and pride, and a new initiative for 2011.
Beginning January 2010, McNees attorneys and staff embarked on a monthly charitable and civic activities campaign to mark the firm's continuing contribution to the communities in which it operates. Each month throughout the year, the firm’s more than 250 personnel selected one designated organization and performed a service project for that organization. Some projects focused on financial support, while many required active participation.
"Since our community helped to shape the history of the firm, our 75th anniversary seemed like the appropriate time to give back in a significant way," said David Kleppinger, chairman of the firm. "The campaign meant so much to our employees and the organizations we supported that we've chosen to continue the initiative in 2011 with a featured charitable event each quarter."
In addition to the charitable and civic activities anniversary campaign, McNees also published a commemorative book, authored by retired member, Frank Haas, and provided a copy to each employee at its anniversary party hosted in October 2010. Nearly 400 current attorneys, staff, former McNees attorneys, retired staff members and their guests turned out to celebrate the milestone event.
The firm was proud to celebrate its 75th anniversary and looks forward to providing quality legal services for many years to come. The anniversary campaign was a great way to commemorate the remarkable achievement of 75 years in central Pennsylvania as well as the firm’s growth in the region.
