Two Burr & Forman Attorneys Named "Best of the Bar" by Nashville Business Journal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 13, 2011) - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that partners Lawrence "Larry" R. Ahern and Darlene T. Marsh have been named to the Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" list based on their Chambers USA rankings. This year the Nashville Business Journal partnered with Chambers USA to publish the list of Middle Tennessee's leading lawyers in 2011 based on firm submissions to Chambers & Partners for evaluation.

Ahern practices in the Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Group and is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. He has held leadership positions in several of regional and national professional organizations. Ahern is Chairman of the American Board of Certification and most recently was elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.

Marsh practices with the firm’s Environmental Law Group, as well as the Commercial, Real Estate and Finance Groups.. She is President-Elect of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and will succeed to the Presidency in 2012. Marsh is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, and the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women.

The annual cocktail reception honoring top Middle Tennessee attorneys will be held June 23, 2011, at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
