Burr & Forman Continues Growth Throughout Footprint With Lateral Associates in Jackson and Atlanta
ATLANTA, BIRMINGHAM, JACKSON (June 16, 2011) - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher D. Meyer and Jason G. Wodogaza have joined the firm as Associates in the Jackson, Mississippi office and Atlanta, Georgia office, respectively.
Meyer practices in the firm’s Construction Law service group, focusing on the representation of clients throughout the construction industry, including owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, in state and federal courts and before American Arbitration Association arbitrators. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry and belongs to the American Bar Association, Florida Bar and Mississippi Bar. He is also admitted to practice before the Southern District of Florida. In addition, he is a member of the Mississippi State University College of Business Young Alumni Advisory Board.
Meyer received his B.B.A., magna cum laude, and M.S. from Mississippi State University and earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
Wodogaza practices in the firm’s Banking & Financial Services groups. His experience includes representation of bank holding companies, other financial institutions and corporate borrowers in various finance transactions, including, private note placements, acquisition financings, asset-based facilities, cash flow financings, real estate financings, DIP financings, exit financings, cross-border financings and multicurrency facilities ranging from approximately $10MM to $7.5BN. His cross- border experience includes lending transactions in Canada, India, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Iceland, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea and Japan. Prior to joining Burr Forman LLP and during the height of the financial crisis, Wodogaza successfully completed a secondment with a leading financial institution.
Wodogaza is a 2002 graduate of Emory University, School of Law and he received his B.A., cum laude, from Youngstown State University in Political Science in 1998.
