Burr & Forman Continues Growth in Atlanta Office with New Associate

ATLANTA (July 6, 2011) - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Monika D. Vyas has joined the firm as Associate in the Atlanta, Georgia office.

Vyas is an associate in the general commercial litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation and legal strategy in state and federal courts. She has worked on cases spanning a number of legal areas, including product liability, consumer credit, breach of contract, securities fraud, employment discrimination, and other general commercial matters. Her experience covers pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation, including factual investigation, depositions, and motion practice. She also has overseen and monitored several individual product liability and consumer credit actions pending in federal and state courts across the country.

Vyas received her J.D., with honors, from Georgia State University College of Law in 2007, where she interned for Justice Carol Hunstein of the Georgia Supreme Court. In addition, she also received several awards through her involvement on the Moot Court Team. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Emory University in 2002.
