Litigation and Transactions Attorney Todd Woods Returns to Adams and Reese

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 6, 2011) - Todd Woods returns to Adams and Reese as Special Counsel in the Litigation and Transactions Practice Groups. He most recently served as a Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for a Fortune© 50 Company, serving in numerous roles including In-House Chief Counsel for Litigation and Corporate Transactions/M&A.

Woods has substantial knowledge in the areas of litigation, class action strategy and resolution, crisis management, risk management, product recall, regulatory work, governmental relations, corporate compliance and in-house program design. He also has extensive experience with domestic and international transactions concerning joint ventures, acquisitions, due diligence, finance, tax, treasury, sourcing, merchandising, shipping, aircraft, information technology, intellectual property and marketing.

Business North Carolina Magazine recognized Woods as a “Peer Voted Legal Elite,” from 2009-2011. He has authored various business law articles and served as keynote speaker and panelist in front of members of the International Association of the Defense Counsel and the Chief Litigation Officer Summit.

In the legal arena, he is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, The General Counsel Roundtable and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, Alabama Bar Association and Mississippi Bar Association.

A former football player for the Ole Miss Rebels, Woods earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. He received his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law, where he was awarded the Tollison Austin and Twifford Trial Advocacy Scholarship.
