Hutchinson joins Plunkett Cooney’s Banking Group

- Senior banking attorney Donald J. Hutchinson recently joined the Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms.

“Don has extensive background resolving bankruptcy issues and analyzing bankruptcy risk,” said Douglas C. An attorney in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Hutchinson focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and finance, with particular emphasis on loan restructuring, enforcement and insolvency. He represents secured creditors, unsecured creditors, unsecured creditors’ committees, landlords and bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, in creditors' assignments, in international insolvency proceedings and in out-of-court workouts.

Hutchinson graduated from University of Michigan Law School in 1986. He received his undergraduate degree with high distinction from University of Michigan - Dearborn in 1983.
