Moore & Van Allen Names Hanks RTP Managing Member

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (January 12, 2012) - Moore & Van Allen Intellectual Property member Arlene D. Hanks has assumed responsibility as the Managing Member of the Research Triangle Park, N.C. office.

“I am happy to announce that Arlene will serve as the new Managing Member in RTP, and willserve a three-year term on the Management Committee. We also want to recognize and thank Jamie Clarke for his many years of service and contributions both as Managing Member of the Research Triangle Park office and as a member of the firm’s Management Committee,” said Ernest (Ernie) W. Hanks serves as the manager of the trademark team, and focuses her practice on domestic and international trademark prosecution and protection, and in copyright, intellectual property licensing and transactional work for diverse clients. She aids clients in developing branding strategies, maximizing brand investment and protecting and policing brands globally, working with an extensive worldwide network of foreign counsel.

Hanks was named to Best Lawyers in America 2012 for Trademark Law.  She has also been recognized as Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, as a Business Leader Media Mover & Shaker, and a Women Extraordinaire honoree.  She received her B.S. from Louisiana State University and J.D. from North Carolina Central University.
