Ungaretti & Harris Recognized for “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year” by The M&A Advisor

CHICAGO (February 14, 2012) - The M&A Advisor has recognized Ungaretti & Harris LLP for its role as lead bankruptcy counsel to Fairview Ministries, Inc., a continuing care retirement community, awarding the Fairview bankruptcy case the Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Lower Middle Market Category) at The 6th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards. An independent judging committee of industry experts determined the ultimate recipients of awards.

This year, 160 nominees representing over 250 companies were finalists for the awards.

Ungaretti & Harris represented Fairview Ministries and its affiliates in their successful chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, which culminated in a section 363 sale of substantially all of Fairview’s assets to an affiliate of Lifespace Communities for approximately $20 million. Lifespace, a Des Moines, Iowa-based company, is the seventh largest not-for-profit senior living provider in the United States.
