Garvey Schubert Barer Owner Erwin G. Krasnow has been selected for inclusion in the 2011 “Guide to the World’s Leading Media Lawyers.” Published annually by Legal Media Group, a unit of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Krasnow has appeared in the guide for two consecutive years.

Garvey Schubert Barer has been selected for the 2011 Appleseed Award for Pro Bono Service by Washington Appleseed. Firm volunteers, led by firm Owner and Washington Appleseed board of directors member Ronald J. Knox, have contributed more than 200 hours to the organization, helping in matters such as assessing and reporting on the impact of payday loans and advocating for the homeless.

Garvey Schubert Barer has added Harold K. McCombs as of counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. A seasoned communications attorney, McCombs joins the firm from Sprint Nextel Corporation, where he served as counsel in wireless spectrum transactions.

Garvey Schubert Barer is pleased to announce litigators Gary I. Grenley and Paul H. Trinchero have joined the Portland office. Grenley joins as an owner, following 35 years in private practice. Trinchero is a senior-level associate who has practiced with Grenley for more than a decade.

Garvey Schubert Barer has added Harold E. Snow, Jr. as an owner in the Seattle office. Snow, previously with Lane Powell PC, joins the firm’s Estate Planning Group with a practice focused on helping families and business owners with a wide range of tax and estate planning issues, including multi-national planning.

Garvey Schubert Barer Owner Paige L. Davis has been elected president of the Washington State Bar Association’s (WSBA) Taxation Section and an Executive Council Member for 2011-2012. She previously was chair of the International Tax Committee of the Taxation Section.
